A story across generations

It began with a love of dogs. Over time, that passion became part of everyday life, family memories and the history of Z Grodu Książąt Pomorskich FCI.

This is a story of early dog shows, journeys to find extraordinary dogs, and the Bouviers who became part of our family.

Since 1973

Bella z Orlego Gniazda — where it all began

This 1973 photograph shows Bella z Orlego Gniazda, a brindle Boxer. The following year, Ewa Dąbrowiecka (now Krywan) registered the kennel name “Z Grodu Książąt Pomorskich”. These early dogs marked the beginning of the family’s breeding story.

Agi Jurben CS — a pioneering Giant Schnauzer

In 1976 Ewa Dąbrowiecka brought Agi Jurben CS, a pepper-and-salt Giant Schnauzer, from Czechoslovakia. Historical canine publications describe her as the first of this colour variety in Poland. The kennel welcomed what those sources describe as Poland’s first pepper-and-salt Giant Schnauzer litter in 1978.

Berlin and Fallon vom Oval — our Bouvier story begins

In March 1984, Marek Krywan first encountered Bouviers at a dog show in Berlin. That meeting inspired a search for a dog of the breed. In January 1985 Fallon vom Oval arrived: a brindle female born on 19 April 1984, bred by Gerd and Doris Eirund in Germany.

Fallon vom Oval’s original pedigree, issued by the Deutscher Bouvier-Club, documents her lineage. Preserved in the family archive, it is a tangible record of the beginnings of more than forty years with Bouviers.
